For over forty years, the Salem Historical Society has been dedicated to the mission of “preserving the past, informing the future.” Located in the beautiful Williams-Brown House (built 1845 with 2010 addition and renovation), the Salem Museum is a vital part of our community. We host exciting exhibits, educational programs, school visits and city-wide events–many offered free of charge.

By hosting your event at the Salem Museum, you’re making an important contribution to the community! All funds raised through museum rental support the museum’s educational and preservation programs.
Want a specific caterer? Need some extra set-up? Want an outside wedding and an inside reception? No worries!
At the Salem Museum, you can have your event your way.
We have a variety of tables, chairs, pedestals, and decorative items for your use. All rooms are handicapped accessible. Plus we offer an audio-visual projection system that can hook up to a laptop for presenting a video or slideshow.
We have spaces appropriate for everything from a business luncheon to a baby shower, from a class reunion to a wedding reception. Whatever the event, we will work with you to make it something your guests enjoy and remember for years to come.

Note: If booking an event on a Sunday, you must book at least 6 hours.
Two hour events can only be scheduled during business hours.
